Our beginnings start in 2014 with a friendship between Dave Claassen and Paul Grzybowski. One day Dave mentioned a close friend had cancer so Paul created an email with white paper publications detailing the benefits of functional mushrooms as an addition to traditional treatments. This email was circulated to afflicted friends and family for years until one fateful day in spring of 2021. 

Dave’s close family friend’s wife discovered she had stage 4 breast cancer and her husband reached out for help. Though the email was informative, he had difficulty finding a product that matched the description of her need and was willing to pay for the products creation; this was the birth of Encapsulate.

Paul, having a background in chemistry, designed a blend while Dave found a source for the product. Initially it was a mixture of mushrooms and myceliated grain but offered with a 10g scoop instead of the 1g serving given by others. This was the difference that she felt helped lead her to wellness, along with her doctor’s therapy. After going into remission their family wanted to continue with the product but hated the tase and texture of the powder, this led to the search for extract and the final form of the Encapsulate 6 Mushroom Blend we offer today!
